Done with my keynote, messing around in my blog. This blog is now a school blog, while the other one is for reviews .
Soon it’s May the first.
Now i’m going home to do my homework.

Today we were chillin. I had some fun and tweaked around my homepage blog, which is still not done. :p
I’m currently adding some stuff like a simple tune and somewhat likely. :p

Have just started working on a wordpress blog on my website, but I will make it part of the frontpage as some sort of news thingy.
Been also working on the song on that cd, almost done. Just need an ending.

Review; Gears of war 2; Xbox 360

After reading a review (Should I call it that?) on the Xbox 360 game: Gears of War 2 from a small newspaper website, I saw that the reporter of that review was not giving it the right words to it. So, I felt like letting my mouth and thoughts be wrote down on this blog, of a review of the Third-person-shooter, Gears of war 2.
Epic games, the publisher of the game, said that: ”Gears of war 2 will be bigger, better and more baddass!”
I agree with that statement. The game deliver.

The story is simple, yet good. It’s a war between the Humans, which calls themselves: Cogs, against the Locust.
The Locust is an alien race that wants to conquer and kill anything at it’s path. So they, invaded the planet Earth. (duh)
Gears of war 2 is where you left after the first game, Gears of War 1. In the last game you dropped a lightmass bomb that would kill the Locust for good, apparently the bomb just took a minor damage to them. In the beginning of the game
You play as Marcus Fenix, part of the Pendulum Wars, Sergeant of Delta squad. Your mission is to infiltrate the source of the Locust and kill the queen of the Locust. You won’t be alone, along you have Dominic Santiago, aka Dom, your partner who is desperate looking for his lost wife.
Normally, what I would say about the story is that it’s good for a shooter game.

Talking about the graphics. I would say that the game is a small update of the Unreal engine 3.
The graphics are better, the cut scenes uses the ingame engine and the detail dosen’t slow down the game.
Playing the third person perspective, there isn’t so much of a change.  The graphics, models along with the texture makes the game a very good game for the Xbox 360. To keep it short, The graphics looked like it did back on the first Gears but with more detail.

The sound plays a very good part. Not only is it the music and the sound that is so good, It’s the voice acting. The voiceacting in the game is a perfect bar for the sound to get a good score. Not only because of that, the music is packed with orcherstreal music that gives in the feeling of a war. The sounds of guns is one of the best like it was on the first game. On top, the sound is a top notch.

The gameplay stands in just like in the first one: Shoot, take cover and shoot some more, with some extras.
Gears of war 2 have some new features with such of, new finishing moves, use the enemy as a living shield and the new game mode: Horde.
Horde is a simple invasion clone from one of Epic’s earlier games, Unreal Tournament 2004. The mission with Horde, is to survive the enemies, more waves equals harder enemies. Playing with a friend is fun on co-op both on Story mode and Horde and is more fun online. (When they have fixed the online issues.)

Overall, Gears of war 2 delievers to be a good sequel. The sound, graphics, gameplay and story mixed down to one pot gives out a good title for the 360.

I’ve been working, on nothing big, just got a new small assignment to do with the help of a song that we got with a CD.
I’ll work on it, on Monday. But I have the idea of posting how the song was made.

Then I need to finish that Movie project in moving pictures that is due to thursday.
